VIVEKANANDA’S MESSAGES TEACH THESE MESSAGES TO ONE AND ALL
Our misery comes, not from the work, but by our getting bonded / attached to something from that work as reward. ( do not get bonded with result and reward.)
In every attempt there will be one set of men who will applaud, and another who will pick holes. ( do not expect applause always)
The great quality of Bhakti / devotion is that it cleanse the mind (If the mind did not get cleaned by your bhakti then you are practicing something wrong)
As long as we require someone else to make us happy, we are slaves ( so find out happiness from your own mission oriented work of serving the poor, sick, old aged, orphans and deserving)
The book one must learn natural sciences is the book of nature. The book from which to learn religion is your own mind and heart.
Nature, body, mind go to death , not we. We neither go nor come. ( The soul remains there and not the body)
The man Vivekananda is in nature, is born and dies. But the self we see as Vivekananda is never born and never dies. It is the eternal and unchangeable reality
Great results are attained only by great patience. Great courage and great attempts.
Character is repeated habits and repeated habits alone can reform character (Build an excellent character through repeated practice)
It is charector that cleaves its way through adamantine walls of difficulties. (Learn to face difficulties and overcome that)
No civilization can grow unless fanaticism, bloodshed and brutality stopped. (That is the reason why, India and Indian civilization declared ahimsaa paramo dharma)
Civilization, true civilization, should mean the power of taking the animal-man out of his sense- life
