There are many negative words like arrogance, ego, intolerance, jealousy, hatred, anger, and so on. Now there are many positive words also. Tolerance, patience, pleasant, stabilized, calm, judicious, impartial and so on. Just remember our vedic management message: asatho maa sath gamaya. This is exactly moving from the above bad to above good. Let all of us move from bad to good, good to better and from better nearer to the best.
In our mission we have to be truthful and should prove that we are honest. We have to be sincere, devoted, dedicated, punctual. And should show the world that we are so. Merely telling that I and God know that I am so, does not or should not mean anything. What I say that I should do, what I do that only I should say.
Two very important words, every leader should remember are effort and result. Minimum effort to get maximum result. Avoiding all types of wastages and optimal utilisation of each resource. This includes saving manpower, energy, time, space, etc. In minimum time and input maximum output
An excellent Indian management word from Upanishads is jaagratha. The word means ‘remember that you are not permanent in this world/chair/position/status… ‘ as a leader if the date of entry is there date of exit is also there. If date birth is there date of death is also there. Nothing is permanent in this world. The only permanent thing in this world is that everything is temporary……. so . thasmaath jaagratha jaagratha…. Therefore remember that you are not permanent in this world…..
Two important words every leader should remember are efficiency and effectiveness. Effective work and efficient work. Doing the things /work correctly is efficiency; doing the correct things/ work is effectiveness. Now a days effective working is more important than efficient working.
Just see what is vedic management: one of the great messages from katopanishath (frequently quoted by Swamy Vivekananda also) whose first word is utthistatha means ‘gloriously stand up’. The message of the word is there are ups and downs, success and failure, positives and negatives, happiness and sorrows….. when we start moving forward in our mission. While facing all these boldly and gloriously stand up. Never become a coward and never run away.
