“Message: My motto is to learn whatever good things I may come across anywhere. This leads many friends to think, that it will take away from my devotion to the Guru. All Gurus are one, and are fragments of radiations of God, the Universal Guru”.
This exactly is Indian concept of god and guru. It is our duty to learn from anything and everything we come across. The process of learning is through listening, watching, discussing and thinking about what we come across. Learning from the external and internal world is the real education. Education is the manifestation of the knowledge which is already present in us.
In Naraayaneeyam and Puranas, 24 Gurus are mentioned. Sandeepani Maharshi explained that Lord Krishna learned everything from nature. In Uddhava Geetha too Krishna explains how to learn from nature.
“Read Geetha every day to the best of your opportunity” Geetha gave inspiration for Albert Einstein, inspired many world renowned meritorious people. It is the holy and management book used for management studies also. It has become the book for teaching the dharma based management even in the world famous universities. It explains the karma yoga, where continuous work-oriented life is to be undertaken. It gives the absolute knowledge and also the relative knowledge i.e jnaana yoga. It also explains about the devotion in life, bhakti yoga. The guidance is given by Lord Krishna during 3140 BC, even after 51 centuries this book is relevant for the mankind.
“ Calm, Silent and steady work, and no newspaper humbug, no name making. You must always remember” This, in fact, is the karma yoga where the goal and path are the same. Working for achieving the goal, without worrying much about the positives or negatives in the pathway.
“No great things were ever done without great labor” It is true that nothing can be achieved without sacrifice by individuals, family, society and sometimes nation. Here is the message for each and every one of us from Vivekananda to see that pains, difficulties, obstacles are part of every noble mission. Even for the survival it is important to know that we have to face many negatives. It is like labor pain to be suffered by the mother before seeing the exciting face of the baby.
